Play4Serv Presents: Lolopalooza! @ Saguijo Line-up:
Day One Movement Yano Fatal Heads (impromptu) Teeth Eraser-X
i thought the rain and the vaccine would stop me from going to this gig. Fortunately, my love for pinoy rock prevailed! so there i was, amongst the screaming and dancing crowd, singing along with the music i grew up with. Injected with a different kind of high that steem from the memories of those days when i wanted to be like them, lead the life they lead, but of course i didn't turn out to do that dream, hence that moment to be amongst the crowd serve as a proverbial hint that not all is lost. "Life's a journey, anyway, hey..." according to my favorite E'heads song. Sir Robin was on drums during the 3 songs that Raims sang. He's totally awesome. I used to only see him on the in-lays of the Eheads' albums. Sancho also rocked the night away with Yano; he played the guitar. Myrene was on Bass, Mike on Drums and Diego on another guitar.. It was hell's paradise. It was fun. It was better than sex and drugs. And since Dok has a gig in Hard Rock with Pupil, Teeth went in late so a band i'm so familiar with in the 90's came in so set up their stuff... it was Fatal Posporos minus Annette and that other girl, but their slots were filled in by raims (drums) and Buddy (bass)... No, actually it was Fatal Heads! I missed them so much. Too bad i was too busy to attend to their reunion gigs. (fatal posporos', that is) So my smile extended up to my ears. Then Teeth came, that smile became a scream. Dok was all sweaty but nevertheless, they made my night very memorable! Ebe said he used to attend Teeth gigs before and stand right in front in Mayrics. Guess what Teeth played last, Shooting Star! During this song, Rico Blanco came in and borrowed Ebe's guitar so he could jam and he whispered to Dok, "this is my favorite song." Me too. Then the Eraser-X came, initially composed of Raims, Buds, Kris, Jugs and Jet Pangan of The Dawn. The crowd went wild when Jet sang the popular Eheads' songs. He wasn't so sure of the words but the crowd was practically the ones singing for him. After Jet, Sir Robin came in and replaced Raims behind the drums. Raims took the vocal duty. Sir Robin was amazing! apparently, it's been 10 years since he played the drums, but at the sound of it he seem to have been playing drums all his life. "anlakas nya pumalo, sobra!" This is the best gig i've attended to so far. It's full of surprises! The voxcalist of el Mercurio also jammed, he sang Insomia. That was so cool. It was fun, despite the brewing fever and heavy left arm, I had the time of my life.
